Cushman & Wakefield Attracts Top Senior Talent in Singapore

Singapore, 18 October 2016 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today the appointment of five senior real estate professionals to its growing Singapore and Asia Pacific business.

The appointments of Chris Carver, Anny Tay, Andrew Carmichael, Tom Gibson and Mark D. Lampard are testament to our continued focus on bringing on board the best in the business. Chris Carver, Head of Valuations, Singapore & South East Asia

In this newly-created role, Mr. Carver will lead a team of 24 valuations professionals. With over 16 years of experience as a senior real estate executive and business development specialist, he is strategically positioned to grow and strengthen Cushman & Wakefield’s valuations business.

Mr. Carver joins Cushman & Wakefield from Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was Head of Regional Valuations, Asia and Chairman of the Asia Pacific Valuation Committee. Through this role, he spearheaded key growth initiatives including the launch and development of new valuation services throughout Asia. Besides Valuations, he also has deep insights into the Consulting and Capital Markets businesses throughout Australia and Asia. His client portfolio includes international real estate funds, financiers and corporates across all asset classes. Mr. Carver has also led business lines across multiple offices throughout Asia Pacific including Hong Kong, Seoul and Sydney.

Anny Tay, Head of Retail, Singapore

Ms. Tay’s key focus is to strengthen and grow Cushman & Wakefield’s retail business in Singapore. With over 20 years of experience covering the full spectrum of retail real estate services, she will be responsible for leading her team in winning new retail project marketing assignments and leveraging on the firm’s established retail service capabilities in the region to source for new clients in the retail arena.

Ms. Tay was previously Senior Manager of Group Leasing at Asia Malls Management Pte Ltd, which manages six retail malls in Singapore, namely White Sands, Century Square, Tampines 1, Liang Court, Tiong Bahru Plaza and Hougang Mall. She has also worked with CBRE and DBS Land (now known as CapitaLand Commercial Ltd).

Andrew Carmichael, Director of Client Services, Project & Development Services, Asia Pacific

Mr. Carmichael is responsible for business development and client relationship management across Asia Pacific. In this role, he will leverage key business development opportunities across the region and manage the ongoing relationships with existing and new clients. His client portfolio across the region currently stands at about 100.

Mr. Carmichael has over 30 years of industry experience and has been in Asia since 2004. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, he held Director roles at Woodhead, AECOM and Realys, where he was responsible for some of the largest corporate office projects in Asia Pacific. He has been based in Singapore for the past 10 years, servicing clients across the region.

Tom Gibson, Director of Project Delivery, Asia Pacific

As Director of Project Delivery for Asia Pacific, Mr. Gibson has oversight of key regional accounts and work with in-country project leaders to ensure the consistent delivery, proper governance and risk management of clients’ projects.

With over 15 years of project and construction management, commercial operations and project delivery experience across Australia, South East Asia, Africa, Central Asia, Sri Lanka and India, Mr. Gibson has worked across varying disciplines including building construction (base build and fit-out), infrastructure and mining with contract values exceeding USD600million. He has been based in Asia for ten years.

Mark D. Lampard, Head of Tenant Representation, South East Asia

Mr. Lampard’s role at Cushman & Wakefield is to spearhead the growing tenant advisory business in South East Asia and participate in key pursuits and mandates across the entire Asia Pacific region.

Based in Singapore for the last 13 years, Mr. Lampard has a wealth of experience and an impressive track record in commercial leasing and corporate accounts management. He was previously with Colliers International where he spent nearly 20 years building his real estate career, during which he completed close to 1000 real estate assignments for high profile corporate clients in over 14 countries. His last role at Colliers was Head of the Corporate Solutions platform.

All five leaders are based in Singapore, a key regional and global hub for Cushman & Wakefield. Mr. Carmichael, Mr. Gibson and Mr. Lampard started their new roles in mid-2016 while Ms. Tay and Mr. Carver will assume their roles in November 2016 and January 2017 respectively.
